How can I rotate the camera up smoothly?

I’m making recoil for my gun, and though of camera recoil and tried using tweens. But, when I did, I could move the camera left or right while the tween was playing, and when it was done it snapped down to keep the subject in place. Is there a way to fix it or another way to smoothly rotate the camera up?
