This is what I’m trying to replicate. This is the file before uploaded to ROBLOX:

What it looks like inside ROBLOX:

How can I upload with more quality and retain it?
I can’t really see a difference, but you can just split it up and upload it in multiple parts.
If you zoom in the image on the ROBLOX version you can see the quality has taken a big hit. It’s not sharp clean edges, it’s fuzzy.
How will splitting it up change anything? ROBLOX seems to be reducing the quality on it’s own.

Likely because Roblox is stretching it or it doesn’t have a high enough resolution. I see you’re also using the regular viewport instead of device emulation to set it to a 1920x1080p preview. Uploading in parts will allow you to upload in higher resolution.
I don’t think it’s a resolution problem like I said, when I preview it on my desktop it’s perfect. It’s losing quality on upload.
How can I set my viewport to render at a higher resolution?
I can give it a try though to upload it in parts. What size should I save it as?

What resolution is the original image? Maybe just splitting it into 2 or 3 parts will be enough.
As far as the resolution goes:
You can also make a custom device for a custom resolution.
I doubt Studio render settings affect images, but just in case, here’s my settings:
Also you can see if it’s truly being compressed if you download the asset after uploading it.
Yea I’m already maxed I’ll give splitting a try.
yea no I tried splitting, but it doesn’t work. ROBLOX just loses so much quality on upload it seems
Yeah, 4k is way too much. I would try to keep it closer to 500, or at least under 1k.
Alright, I’ll try splitting the image into like 6 different sections and see if that does it.

Roblox decals are limited to 1024x1024. What I end up doing a lot is splicing images in Photoshop and uploading them separately, on a grid.
