How can you prevent NPCS from sliding on the ground after a sudden stop in movement?

I know that for players, you cam set their humanoidrootpart density to a high number to prevent the force from carrying on even when input has ended. For NPCS, when applying the same, I have found that it instead makes NPCs glitch into the ground slightly and inhibit their movement. Is there another way I can make NPCs stop sliding?
