I’ve been an active user of the previous DMCA takedown request method by mail. Since the introduction of Rights Manager I’ve set up my account to be able to make use of Rights Manager.
However I’ve noticed today that I can only submit takedown requests for Avatar assets. I’m a builder with various experiences, models and meshes of which I frequently come across copies, stolen versions uploaded by others without my permission.
How come can I not submit any experience/asset/mesh takedowns with the exception of avatar assets? Shouldn’t I be able to submit takedowns for experiences/meshes etc etc aswell?
I’ve tried looking for any similar posts and/or topics regarding this exact issue but I couldn’t find anything so far.
It hasn’t been discussed very much but I believe this happened because there were a few vulnerabilities discovered where malicious users were taking down assets they didn’t create themselves using a certain exploit method. The system was really streamlined so it’s disappointing to see this and we can only hope it’s re-enabled soon.
Bruh, ofcourse exploiters would abuse a system which is basically neccessary for developers to take down infringing content. I really hope the old copyright agent e-mail works then, I haven’t received any response whatsoever in months using that method.
