I'm making a testing animation so I can see if my tool can animate correctly.
I want to properly animate tools in the future so I need to test these things.
The problem is that the animation I made works perfectly fine when it's running on a rig, but it doesn't play correctly on the player.
I doubt the animation itself is the problem so I’m not sure why the tool doesn’t animate.
I have videos and pictures to identify the issues.
Oh sorry I figured this out 30 minutes after I posted this. The problem was that you can’t animate a weapon unless it’s in the character.
So an example would be if I wanted to animate my sword swinging and wanted to rotate the sword while the animation is playing. If the model that contains the sword isn’t in the character, then you can’t even animate it in animators. The simple solution was to put the model inside the character. Sorry for the information you had to gathered!
