I am making a store GUI for a game. (Undergound war remake) However I am no artist and even after an hours of tweaking it still looks a bit awkward. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or feedback I will happily accept.
1st picture store gui. On the left side a item has white text and the right a item has yellow text. If you have another color suggestion that would be great also.
The map looks like something out of 2009. (Unless that is what your going for)
I feel like you’re going for a more “modern” style, as well. Here are some ideas:
Try UI corners and make the UI less transparent.
Add Texture, detail, ect.
Make the buildings different shapes, like a round tower.
My suggestions (You don’t have to use any of them):
For the gui:
Try looking over other font options, some fonts work better than others (I personally like the Arcade font).
Try seeing what it would look like if you made each item’s section a different color rather than having all/most of the sections the same color.
For the map:
To me, the tent looks out of place, I’d remove it.
Some of the corner fences should be placed strategically rather than all random spots, like maybe have four corner fences surrounding the flag on each team.
Yes I am going to re-go though font especially on the scoreboard. Any other fonts in particular that you would recommend? I’m don’t want to sound rude, but if you did not know underground war is a majority underground battle game where you try to capture the other teams flag. To discourage camping and over-ground guarding I placed the barricades in places where they would benefit offensive team trying to steal the flag.
