Im trying to become good at building and i feel like im good for a beginner but I can be better so I want to hear how the pros got good at it

I have about 3 years of experience of building and what I can say for learning to be better is build some stuff yourself, analyze other people’s builds and some techniques they use and get people to critique your builds, also use some helpful plugins to make building faster and efficient but you may have already heard this before but yea.

Just like anything else you do, you’ll learn from experimenting and practicing. It’ll likely take time, but be patient, don’t get discouraged (don’t be too hard on yourself), and if you get frustrated just take a break from what’s bugging you and work somewhere else on your place, or on another place for a while.
Started in 2011, and got into building pretty soon after that. I’m still learning.
As far as a pro? I got into the EBR in Mar. 2014 so I probably have a few tricks up my sleeve…
You should use reference real life images and understand the “anatomy” of the builds you’re working on. Don’t reference others builds and copy them, learn the tricks they used for their builds. When it comes to you becoming a better builder, you must know what you are doing yourself. This helps you in improving your styles and easier express of your imaginations. in most cases ppl use extra textures to give extra depth perception
