… and I was wondering what kinds of resources and tutorials I could use to learn the basics of Roblox avatar illustrations

I can’t really help with roblox art specifically as i’m pretty bad at explaining myself, and generally boils down to just drawing how you wish to represent the avatar, but i can offer this resource. It contains a pretty good archive of resources for art, including tutorials, programs, and other stuff (i know the embed says it’s private, but you should be able to view it), it’ll help you if you wish to improve further
Let me refer you to this very handy information on how to draw
At least, this is all you need to know without outright being told how to put pen to paper.
