How do big game developers manage their game?

I want to hire this guy for my game, and he has a game with 50 concurrent players and a group with over 30k members. I was thinking to hire him, but I had one issue: What if they just made a game backup of your game, and published their remake and made it uncopylocked? I can’t just risk this game being taken, because this game has almost 1k concurrent players. I just wish to know how big games manage to not get some bozo to take their game.

Plus, it isn’t models or textures I’m having trouble with, nono, I have those people. I just want another man on the job to watch after the game studio for any bugs while I’m offline or when he’s offline.

They normally only hire people with a large portfolio of games that also do well, who are also trustworthy. You also probably would have to sign an NDA or some other legal document to work with them if they’re big enough to ensure you don’t do something like that.

If he does it, you just file a DMCA takedown of the game.

Yeah, well what if there’s a hoard of copies. But I do see how you just get someone with a large portfolio, and that does seem like decent verification to do. Thanks
