How do games get away with players selling in-game items for robux?

I stumbled upon a game which has a marketplace system where players can sell their in-game weapons for robux, probably by using gamepasses/t-shirts like the game “pls donate”. I was wondering if this is against TOS, i asked players and they said it’s a loophole some how and games like Starving Artist do something similar. I’m wondering if I were to make something like this, if it would be against roblox TOS.

So that is really risky. First of all if the items that are bought can be gotten from crates or something related to gambling that is a bad idea, roblox won’t like it. If it’s not related to gambling (the items that are traded are gotten with grinding or something) maybe there is a bigger chance that the idea can be approved (like pls buy me) but most of the times it won’t be. The only “approved” solution of players giving each others robux is donating. If the player is told that he isn’t getting anything in return and the donation is his choice then its legal. Either ways is risky.
