How do games like "Karaoke" feature major music artists?

Hello!

I’m currently making my game, and would like more modern/pop/popular music, but I couldn’t find anything…

How do games like “Karaoke” have music like “Kill Bill”, “Lovely”, and “Bad Guy”, and more (each have billions of streams), in their game?

I highly doubt they are actually getting the right from the artists to use it in there game, so how is there games and audios still up?

Here’s an example of what sounds their game is using:

Huhh, I hope this question gets awnswered

I’m guessing their using some sort of effect on the music like putting it in 4x speed and slowing it down in studio, or uploading the vocals, instrumental, etc, separately then adding them all in studio.

Most likely through distorted sound

Yeah, but how is their game still up if they are using album covers (which cant really be distorted beyond seperating them into multiple peices), along with blatantly using the artists name?

then let me introduce you to roblox’ peak moderation system

Didn’t Universal Music Group and other partners find a way to monetize music on Roblox & work with them?

I have uploaded audios by emailing the producers and get a private license for the music however id doubt they did that for all of the songs.

This could be it, although I haven’t done too much research on this but this partnered with Universal Music Group (UMG), Republic Records and Styngr, which people like Billie Eilish, and SZA, are not affiliated with.

Karaoke doesn’t have any licensing rights or partnerships at all. They’re using some method that only works in their game which bypasses the copyright filter.
