How do I animate tool models?

Pretty straightforward, how can I animate entire tool models? Not just certain parts? As in how can I rig them to be animatable, then have it work in game?

To give perspective for what I’m trying to do; I want knives to float above the player’s character.

I don’t have the knife models ready, but just so it’s known each model includes six parts.
Please let me know if you have any information on this, thank you!

  1. Name one part in the knife models “Main”

  2. Weld all other 5 parts to Main

  3. Do the same for every other knife model (or just clone it…)

  4. Connect all Mains to the main tool handle with Motor6Ds, this should allow them to be animated

What do I do with the tool after? In order to start animating it in the Roblox Animator or Moon Animator?

I had just inserted it into a rig but obviously no luck. I believe Moon Animator has something that makes animating with tools easier but I’m not sure.
