Heyo everybody!
Ive been having a big problem for a while. I dont have the creativity to create maps. And when I am able to create a map, it looks bland and almost dead. I always see these cool unique maps, but no matter what I do I just simply cannot create something on a similar level. Is it more about the references? And if so can somebody please tell me the best place to find good references.
Same for me, um try working on other aspects of game such as ui, when it’s finished or halfway done return to creating maps or take a break
I usually play other games in the same genre as mine to get inspiration
go outside, mesmerise the surroundings, and explore.
then go back, and try applying what you saw. alternatively, you can play games that are similar to your goal or do some research about it.
