i recently uptaded my game a really bloody night but now is laggy and is not looking great how can it become more good loking and less laggy ?
Use PBR textures (if you don’t know search it up). Delete unnecessary parts or meshes. If you really need to meshes put boxcollisions into them and disable .CastShadow.
I don’t recommend adding more parts or making things more detailed. Of course, don’t make it so bland and undetailed, but you should aim for a sweet zone where you get the most amount of detail for realistic amounts of effort
The thing that REALLY carries appearance in games is the lighting. I recommend you toy around with saturation, hues, atmosphere, etc. Looking at cinematic photos and post-processing effects can really help.
What I recommend are;
- lower saturation
- slight sunray (nothing excessive)
- slight blue hue
- high contrast
- EnvironmentalSpecular and Diffuse scale set to 1
For lighting I suggest you to either use ShadowMap (default) or Future (very realistic, but may be laggy)
