How do I design UI? Is a simple way I can ask this question.
I can’t seem to find a good tutorial on how to create UI.
When it comes to UI I don’t even know where to start…
I don’t even know what size to make the buttons in photoshop.
So I ask this question for you to answer. How do I design UI?
Here are some examples of what I’m talking about:
Designing ui is hard, you should start of simple and just test around in photoshop. The examples of ui you showed are made by people who are experts in photoshop so you shouldn’t start of that hard and instead make more simple uis. There are many ui tutorials on youtube for starters so I would recommend checking those. Gfx Coment has very helpful tutorials on ui so I would recommend watching his videos to learn.
People have used Photoshop, Photopea to make advanced UIs like the one your showing. However, the same can be accomplished in Studio. I recommend Photoshop, as you can make pretty sleek ui designs, and there’s many beginner tutorials on YouTube!
Start from something simple, like creating UI in Studio, and then move to an external software or continue making UI in Studio.
But, it isn’t just UI, if you want to make actual great UI, go learn UX after learning the basic of UI.
The first step that I took when trying to learn UI was actually getting hang of the program I chose to use.
Personally, I use paint.net since that was the first tool that I was actually familiar with. Once you’ve got the basics down, choose a style or find a picture of a UI you like, and try to replicate it. Once you think you’ve finished or you’re happy with yourself, pull up the original image and compare.
You’ll learn alot of new tips and tricks whilst grasping the basic strings of UI doing this. Don’t forget to practice making your own original UI as well- and remember that using references isn’t cheating.
