What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
I am making a game where you collect plastic from the ocean to help the environment.
What is the issue? Include enough details if possible!
I have put in place all the core mechanics, and want to know how to make it better. I am making this for a science competition. Are there any ideas on how to improve?
What solutions have you thought of so far?
None, other than stuff like turtles and fish that swim around, which I am currently working on.
After that, you should include more details if you have any. Try to make your topic as descriptive as possible, so that it’s easier for people to help you!
Well, first of all I’d suggest adding a good lobby + some countdown gui because when I joined I literally spawned in an empty transparent box. Some music would be welcome too. I actually really like the idea for the game, good luck with the updates
There are a few features which I would love to see added to the game:
You could expand the lobby. The lobby is looking a bit plain right now and there a few things which you could add. You could have some fishes swimming below your feet to give the feel of being in an actual aquarium/ocean. Not only that, there isn’t much to do in the lobby and some players will get bored waiting, as such, you could give them an area to swim.
Following up on the previous idea, you could add in game currency which are floating around in the ocean and players can collect them and buy something with it.
This seems like a learning and understanding type game so maybe you could put a GUI at the side and call it articles/info. And when players click on the GUI, they could read a certain article(which you have to get from somewhere, don’t put a link) or you could add some helpful websites where you can learn and donate(again, don’t link any websites).
Your game concept is quite unique and may help to give people a further understanding of this issue.
