How do I fix my head from wiggling during an animation?

hey guys, I’ve been cooking up some M1 animations for my game, but I’ve encountered a weird problem: the head of my dummy doesn’t stay in one constant position, instead it kinda wiggles around
(Watch head wiggle | Streamable)

I’ve tried to put multiple animation points to kind of prevent it…

…but I’m not sure why it’s not working. if anybody has any solutions, please help me out! thanks

Try to add more points. Seems like the head rotates a little more than it intended to, but first, try adjusting the existing keyframes.

I also have the same issue, the lower animation affects the upper animations

btw, I’m asking if there’s any way to lock the head in one direction

Remove the keyframes at 30, 35, 40, and 45.

ok, done. what’s next? I feel like I should add more keyframes tho
the head looks rlly weird and unnatural

when you move the torso, it moves the head… so make a keyframe at the torso’s end keyframe that turns the head back to nomal.

You need to edit the easing style of the head so that it won’t look unnatural. Adding more keyframes will cause wiggling so do not do that.

that’s a reasonable statement, but I wish it was as simple as that too. turns out the head looks in the direction relative to the torso when I paste it like that

yeah. so you have to control the head. it’s actually pretty simple. infact you could press B at the start to get the initial head’s position then use that as a refer5ence (Moon 2) then move the head throughtout.

OH RIGHT I FORGOT ABOUT ONION SKIN, THANK U SO MUCH :woot:
