but again those types of games most likely won’t last very long on the community so your best bet is to keep advertising and uploading videos/trailers about your game.
you can also start a chain like this
invite/tell your friends about this game. if they like it, they will tell their friends too. if they like it, they will tell their friends about it. repeat
the game’s loading, and i did rejoin multiple times, clicked on the button too didn’t work. There’s also an error on the dev console “PlayerGui.ResetDisable”
I would suggest making the UI a little less dark, I heard from a youtuber video that dark gradient colors on ui aren’t as appealing to the “Simulator” audience that you’re aiming for, and he said “Go from a lighter version of that color to a slightly darker version of that color”. Sorry if this didn’t make sense or didn’t help.
Also, I feel like progression is kinda slow.
Maybe you could add even more events, maybe occasional pop-ups on your screen that increase your train’s speed for a short time, I don’t know lol.
I have read through the entire topic, And i have played this game for a bit. I left after 5 minutes because this game is extremely repetitive and i got bored pretty quickly.
Adding more locations, obstacles and more events that will distract the player will unfortuanetly not save your game.
I suggest you to remake the core game into something like a track builder/manager game, Something that could be inspired from the Rail Frenzy game, where the player collects recourses and builds a track for the train to keep going. The player building tracks for the train could make tunnels, collect recourses and create rails. This would keep the idea of cuztomizing your train, And you could create a new currency that can be used for train carriages. This solution does not requires for you to rebuild the entire game from scratch.
If you don’t want to make a building system for tracks, which is quite hard (Unless you take another idea.), I suggest not to make a simulator game in the future, and while yes, simulator games are a great practice to do, it is not a great way to get a fanbase with a concept like this. Instead make something else in the future.
Ok so what do you exacly mean by that. That i have to go get trees and stuff and get a certain amount of resources to be able to build the rails between 2 cities and then i can move like before between them?
The 1st thing i see is a thumbnail with way too many outlines, it looks super weird.
The name of the game isn’t even bad, so consider keeping it, same as the description which isnt bad at all.
When i join the game i see a loading screen with a low resolution logo of the game which doesn’t even look good, you should change the logo.
Then i see the game, i must say the VIP is really cheap, way too cheap so the game doesnt really look professional.
The game’s design is hurting my eyes, it’s way too colorful for many people to play.
The crates should move according to the sine waves in my opinion, it would be way nicer, i see their easing style is linear rn, consider changing the easing style of the tween to Enum.EasingStyle.Sine
In my opinion the game should be less colorful, that wasn’t really what i was expecting from a train game, i don’t mean i expected a dark style, i just wanted it to be a little darker than it is right now and the building style should be more realisitic.
The game should be re-made or re-worked in my opinion, its not really engaging enough and i got bored after 3 minutes.
That could be valid but i also suggest that you will have to replace certain track parts due to their condition degrading while riding back-n-forth.
Each challenge can present you with another train intersection that you have to avoid or a merge of tracks that you have to complete. Im unsure what to add else because i have only suggested to make a track builder/manager game.
I dont think the gui would be the case for this inactive game, Kids nowadays will click on anything with the design of the game. Just like we mentioned both, this game requires a total re-make.
Each railway you have to connect between train stations will be a different obstacle that you have to complete, some may require logic, some may require effort in creating tracks/rails.
You do not have to accept all the ideas that are coming in, A suggestion is not a request, but rather just an idea that you have to decide whether to accept or not.
