My friends were having an argument so they gave me the inspiration to build this. This is one of the few builds that I’m actually proud of. How can I improve this?
Personally, when I think of a courtroom I think of a room with a lot of space and usually wooden flooring or walls. I would change up the materials used, and I’d also refrain from using a carpet. It brings the realism out of the build. Overall it’s pretty good.
The spacing could be worked on. You need a jury box, doors on each side of the judge (1 for judge’s chambers, 1 for the bailiff to take prisoners) and walking space between the plaintiff and defendant tables. Some courts are older and wooden, some modern like yours.
Along with the other replies which are extremely helpful to this case, you can search up “Textures” in the Toolbox for a Professional Texture pack with tons of useful wood textures for flooring and much more! I’m not much of a builder ( So I really shouldn’t be in this topic but hey I can help here! ) but I would recommend looking up a picture of a courtroom. There is many different helpful pictures that you could go off of and type in your style you’re looking for if you’re looking for a modern or more “historic” type.
The door in the back could use some extra contrast, such as different shades of brown, to help distinguish the frame from the door.
Actually, a lot of things could use some contrast to help distinguish their parts.
Also, too many things look like concrete. As a natural human being, I don’t like to do any paperwork on concrete, so seeing concrete podiums and tables makes me cringe. Consider using wood or plastic for materials.
Another thing is the walls could use some more decoration.
There are some pictures on Wikipedia if you need to some examples of real life courtrooms.
I really like the layout but I don’t like the materials very much. I have never seen tables made of concrete so in my opinion it would look good if they were made from wood.
Also you can add some lamps and lights to brighten and highlight the room a little bit more.
The carpet isn’t a problem in my opinion. I think most small town courts have carpet flooring. The wood texture that already exists for Roblox isn’t that great it looks more like cheap wood you’d find in a hardware store when you’re trying to build a shed or boarding up windows in a building but, you can make the stands and the desks wood. I’d make the judge’s bench wood, that circular object behind the bench a marble texture, and I’d add another layer to the ceiling in the interior to separate the roof from the courtroom itself, but do keep that sun roof. Add some wall lamps and ceiling lamps to illuminate the room. And the wall and door that separates the people aka the jury? from the actual court itself wood as well. Paint them a color that looks like real wood but nothing that blends everything else in color wise. Hope this was easy to understand.
Thanks to everyone that replied. I’m going to reconstruct a lot of parts made from concrete. As @TheChasingBoy said it looks dark. @cxxfee and @sfinteractive said the space needed to be worked on so I will be doing just that. Yes @Its_AceRBLX, I’ll add some lamps.
It looks empty, dark, and free model filled, maybe remove the free models, change the lighting make it bigger, and add more detail with change of texture.
