How do I keep an R6 rig's beveled body parts when I give it materials?

Hi, I know that there’s already an older thread which does have a solution already that relates to this problem, but I don’t think I have the brain power to even touch Blender. It’s probably just my laziness, but I’m currently working on a Tower Defense game (very original I know) and I’m supposed to give some enemies materials. Whether the material was diamond plate, granite, and whatnot, the body part with the material attached would always lose its beveled appearance.

Personally, I think this looks bad aesthetically. I’ve tried searching for different kinds of rigs, yet I can’t seem to find one immune to this feature. It’s fine if there isn’t any method to solve this problem as it only affects my game aesthetically, but it would still be spectacular if someone could give me a working method. Here’s an image visualizing and explaining my issue.

Heres an R6 robloxian all in mesh parts. May take some tweaking, but this should work for what your tryin to do. This is not rigged.

Not too sure if you can fix your issue without switching over to mesh parts.
