How do i learn scripting the best and fastest?

Look up Roblox Lua-Tutorials on Youtube AND with the new Knowledge Give yourself a Task and Try to code it after Every Tutorial video.

I have 2 suggestions, besides watching YouTube tutorials:
- Refer to the Roblox Docs for explainations on what functions in Studio do.
- Current DevForum topics created by other Developers in either #help-and-feedback:scripting-support or even #resources:community-tutorials !
P.S. Not saying that it’s “wrong” to learn from certain sources, but you will need to make sure that when you watch Tutorials, you will need to actually learn and understand what is going on. Otherwise, you’ll have to keep relying on tutorials to Script instead of doing it yourself.

Personally I was taught by an advanced scripter, but I’ve heard most people learned from youtube tutorials too.

The Roblox documentations are bad for the most part. Trying to find a straight answer for something is incredibly hard because the docs are so vague.

They’re vague so they’re able to answer the Developer’s general questions. Roblox can’t possibly place a “FAQ” on every page or function, so current DevForum topics are something useful if someone doesn’t understand the Docs.
But honestly, just speaking for myself. Everyone learns differently.

I agree. But I do wish Roblox would actually make a step-by-step course for learning LUAU rather than relying off of documentations.

These are just my opinion from what I kinda did (you don’t have to follow what I say!)
follow all of these steps:
1- watch basic youtube tutorials on and practice the basics on roblox studio.
(copy what the tutorials tell you)
2- then watch advanced youtube tutorials and practice the advanced ones in roblox studios.
3- Try to make an obby first, then make a tycoon, then a simulator and after those 3 then make a random game you can think of.
3- Ask people for advice and help when your codes don’t work!
