I want to light up massive areas, but i dont want to just make the walls have castshdow off, because it looks bad. Plus i might want one room to be a different color from another. Any ideas?

I’m not sure if there are many (or really any) solutions to this that aren’t hacky or a native implemention that doesn’t look bad. There is a feature request for longer range of lights, but no updates so far…
The answer might be rather simple: make bigger lights.
I usually use SurfaceLights for this because they can illuminate a much larger area than SpotLights or PointLights. The con is the same as all Light instances: they can only light up to a limited distance from the source object.
I use surface lights. The range of 60 max is not large enough. My rooms i nee to light up are MASSIVE.
