Hello! Just a question from a new builder, how should I make sand for like a beach or something? As I do not know how to use terrain.
just use the materials on a part and make it sand
I know but like I wanna make it realistic any chance you know?
well i guess use terrain then.
In the forum I said. " As I do not know how to use terrain."
ok sorry i didn’t see that so well that would be the only ways i think
Alright no worries. Have a good day.
Three options:
A) If you don’t know terrain, you can easily learn how to use terrain tools, there’s loads of tutorials out there on Youtube and other places. I’m certain you can find a tutorial, the tools are quite easy to use.
B) Using parts: You can size up parts to make a terrain by changing their materials to sand and using colour, you can imitate hill and unlevelled surfaces by just rotating parts.
C) Use scripting to build terrain around or on parts, there’s again examples of this on both dev forum and the Roblox documentation and articles.

Use this plugin to build terrain out of wedges.
Has a lot of settings too
To use terrain editor, go to view:
Next, find the terrain editor:
This window will open, it’ll have 3 tabs, what you mostly will use is the “Edit” tab to make out your terrain:
To add terrain, press the “Add” button and configure it the way you want, every other button should be self explanatory.
To add on to what @Winbloo said.
If you enable the view selector, and move it to the top view, it should make it easier to create flat terrain.
If you’re willing to take some time out for small bits of detail you can use a part with sand texture and add small rocks and maybe twigs on the ground by carefully shaping parts with the correct material, for the water I don’t think there’s any way other than terrain so you’ll need to try and figure that out.
If you want to make like lumps you can use the sand textured parts and put them into mounts perfectly angled to make the corners almost invisible.
