You may present your thread how you choose, but you are required to answer the following questions in your thread;
I’m working on a train simulator based on the Long Island Rail Road (One of the most busiest Commuter Rails in North America). I want to make good stations like this:
(These stations are not real stations from the LIRR Mainline these are fictional. I also use the trains for proper scaling, the trains in the first 2 pictures are mines, the 3rd one isn’t) I’ve tried to use textures but it still wasn’t enough, I tried looking at tips on YouTube but I already know these tips and they don’t seem that useful, I also tried hiring devs but I can’t because I don’t have a PayPal. (I’m too young to have one, only 13).
Do you have any advice? If so please reply to this post.
Pay attention to smaller details in the image, such as the tiling and size of the tiles, the lighting (USE FUTURE LIGHTING) the roof details, signage etc.
Also it is crucial to keep a consistent level of detail. The light strips and “watch the gap” signs feel out of place when you compare it to the brutal(ist) simplicity of the rest of the station (screenshot 1&2).
