How do I make ambience that changes upon entering different areas?

You all know that in most games, the ambience music changes upon entering new areas. I want to incorporate this system into my own game, but I’m not sure how.

I have tried using parts at the entrances to new areas, but these don’t work, as if you walk backwards and forwards thorough them, it breaks.

I have also tried using parts that cover entire areas, but these are quite buggy.

Am I doing this wrong, or is there an even easier way I don’t know about? Please help
