How do I make game popular?

I’ve been working on a fishing game a bit. I’ve got it to a playable state now.
I’ve got some visits on the game from just telling people to join the game (would not recommend it does not work most of the time)

I am now wondering how do I make my game popular? How do I get people to play my game without me telling them to?

Here is the link to the game

Give it a like and favourite if you are cool or something.
Thank you everybody for helping.

just keep updating the game with cool stuff, run some roblox ads, and maybe post vids on tiktok or yt. also, try getting smaller roblox youtubers to play it. build a group or discord for players too. it takes time but keep at it

Once you get a few players with ads and things like that work on temporarily releasing different themes and modes etc to see what the players react best to, keeping and growing upon the good stuff and removing the stuff they hate

And so the Roblox fishing game trend begins.

First off considering you are making a fishing game, lets take a look at games that are similar.
For instance, Fisch.

So lets begin with the game page its self as it can help a lot.

First off remove all those tags from the description, it makes your game look desperate.
Especially with the tags you used, it makes the game look like its not even a game and its probably just some poorly made obby.

You might also want to remove the other language(s) from the title and description.
From that lets take a look at Fisch, their thumbnails look much more appealing then yours do, as they seem to be GFX’s, along with that, they show off some cool looking things you can catch, which makes it appealing towards certain groups of people.

Another thing I can see is that the build styles dont match at all. I see some stylized barrels and then I see a dock with roblox materials, the look of a game can impact the performance of your game, so having a matching style might be something to consider.

Now to actually making it popular I recommend advertising it, whether with youtube, twitter or whatever you choose, just gain an online presence.

Another thing to note, that whether you like it or not, you are now competitors with Fisch, what does that mean? It means your game now needs to well, be better then fisch, for instance, why play your game over fisch? What new ideas does it bring to the table? Along with that, why does it look better than fisch? (it doesn’t right now so you might want to work on that.)

Dont take this as discouraging, but you are kinda going against one of the biggest games on the platform, so overall I just recommend looking at how they did it, look at what people dont like about fisch, take some of your own original ideas, and make a game!

Also please remake the badge icons, I beg lol.
Best of luck~

Here is a massive thing to think about when making games:

Your game is similar to fisch, so why would I play your game?

Make a new game changing mechanics. Just give people a reason to play your game.

This also happened with the wave of rng games:

Hades rng game is similar to sols rng, so why would I play Hades rng?

did you copy this from somewhere or is this intended? because it makes no sense
it means “you will di# tomorrow join my community/cult” idk if you meant to make it as a threat or whatever but that isn’t good considering this is a FiShInG GaMe and that is what a random yt bot would write

Lol. This is a very strange strategy. I have noticed that if I type some creepy text in the description, people will click on my game from curiosity.

I am Arabic so I understand what it means I personally wouldn’t click on a game that says “you will di# tomorrow”

Thank you for this. I will make changes.

and yes I will change the badge icons. Now when I look at them i realize how bad they are.

You’re just working on what is really a direct knock off of Fisch. Even if you did start developing this before Fisch, I’d recommend differentiating your game a little more, or preferably releasing at a different time.
