How do i make Good Backgrounds for GFX?

I have a small render i made a while ago but i wanna spice it up

I use pixlr for Photo editing

So yeah a response would help

I usually use some Paint.net plugins, I can make perfect background with them.

1 go to google
2 look up spiral background
3 look up run effect
4 make sure you have a rendered character ready
5 go into paint.net
6 put your rendered character in there
7 make a layer
8 put the spiral background behind the rendered character
9 make another layer
10 put the run effect in front of the rendered character
11 bam you can go into the specific layers and change the saturation of the color you like and your done
