For the past few months, I’ve been working on a game called “Path of Misery.” I’ve made a lot of progress recently, but now I’m at that part where I need to think about what’s next. Aside from the checklist I’ve put at the bottom of the description, I’d like to hear your input on what I should do next.
Someone gave a dislike, but didn’t explain why. If you have something to say about the game, please do. -_-
I feel like little too no effort was put into this game as their should have been; I cant even get pass the first level and you have a random devproduct or gamepass in the left hand corner just waiting for someone to click it
How else should I market gamepasses?
You shouldnt just have it right in the left hand corner like that at least make some fancy ui animations or something
Also I think obbies are as bit dated at this point
That’s pretty much the only game I can make without getting burned out. I’ll make sure to work on the ui a little bit so it’s not a random gui
dude i bet you can script better than this; use your scripting knowledge to its fullest potential and make something literally amazing
I know you can do it; just dont worry about how good you are ,focus on getting better
Like what is this? How are we suppose to finish the first level, by sacrificing someone and jumping on their corpse? I don’t understand, it isn’t visually appealing and it feels like its a game you have quickly created.
There’s some invisible platforms. To the left
LOL that made me laugh, also sorry i didnt get back to your dm
nah man its fine your comments make me laugh alot tbh
I’m at a level where it says you got stickbugged, how do I do that?
Lol the invisible platform that doesn’t exist?
But seriously I can’t find it.
It’s literally a troll obby.
- No one really enjoys those games anymore
- I wouldn’t be expecting many people to enjoy considering it’s really low quality.
If you were looking for something along the lines of a rage obby game, take notes from games like Jupiter’s Towers of Hell.
I know it’s not the stuff you wanted to hear but I’m just being brutally honest here. My recommendation is to scrap this game and move onto something better.
Hey, I decided to test out your game.
Positives
- This might seem extreme, but for once, I can’t find any major positives for a review. The game could have an interesting concept and design in the future, I’ll give you that.
Negatives
-
The first thing I noticed when I spawned in is the low-quality skybox. I’d recommend making your own assets whenever you can to avoid these quality spikes.
-
The first level is nearly impossible, and as far as the players in-game are aware, it requires multiple people to get past.
(I read that there is an invisible platform in another reply, but neither of these solutions are obvious, and invisible platforms aren’t really fun to deal with.) -
The checkpoints randomly break sometimes, and send players back a stage or two.
-
I also noticed there’s a Gamepass button under the Chat box. It doesn’t have a great design, and players could easily click it while chatting.
Bugs and Errors
- This is probably intentional, but I don’t want to add another negative if I don’t have to- the conveyers in the second level change speed very unpredictably.
Good luck on your game in the future.
Pros: Pretty frutrating and hard but nothing else.
Cons: Skybox of pure bad quality, you have to jump on peoples corpse to pass the level, gamepass?? Very poorly made honestly, sorry if this sounds rude.
I just noticed the R$250 Gamepass makes the game even harder.
“One start, one finish, no checkpoints, harder levels.”
ToH is pretty popular at the moment. Am I right to classify that as a Troll Obby?
Yes, it seems like there’s completely no purpose to it.
For those people that always want to make life harder for themselves, it could be a semi-reasonable addition. However, there aren’t that many of those people, and even less on Roblox, and even less with the Robux to buy that because they wanted to.
I haven’t played it yet, so it may be that @knockoutterrafinpa is a little wrong.
Thanks for all of your criticisms. It’s only my first game, so I should’ve known it would be under par. Admittedly, some of your reviews were a little harsh, (and I may have teared up a little) but that’s all part of the business. Thanks again!
