Im currently making a map for my horror game but i dont know how to make the terrain more interesting

(I haven’t been learning how to build with terrain and instead i was focusing on coding)

You could make it better by adding more texture to it like using rock in the hills and mountains, sand near the river, patches of dirt and marsh etc. It could be better by mainlyjust adding trees and more houses.
I have 4 things you can put on the map.
1: the water needs to be more black
2: Add fog.
3: Make it rain.
4: put trees.

Trees with no leaves,
rocks
Grass color = darker green
fog that is slightly closer to the ground ,
gravestones
log cabins
dead animals skeleton
rainy weather
snow on top of mountain
it’s so empty
try adding trees, don’t make very flat terrains unless you are making a field, add tall grass, rocks, bushes, etc.
I took everyones advice! more textures, fog, rain, trees, bushes, rock, and darker water
