How do I make really realistic roads?

Hello World!

I was figuring out on how to make realistic roads in my game. I only have a bit of experience making environments or cities. So I don’t really know how to do or make one. Does anyone have ideas?

And I also don’t wanna use parts for the lines, because for optimization reasons. So I hope you guys understand that reason. Anyways,

So the roads I desire should look like this.

Thanks in Advance!

It takes probably over 4 days or weeks to make a realistic road like that. First you need lighting fixes and if only for showcase then you don’t need to worry about scripts. Use blender or any easy mesh builder. It took me 7 months to get anywhere close to that. The tiles though, you need to place them specially designed. Especially the mud.

Nvm I forgot to say this but, I just made the roads in blender.

For extremely realistic roads I recommend you use PBR textures (Physically Based Rendering). It will apply a very nice 3D light consuming texture.

Do you have your own photo of your “recreation”?
