How do I make scale not apply to something?

Pretty simple, when I set this parts scale through script, it gets multiplied due to the scale of the model its in (and I have to keep it in the model). Is there like a setting, whats the simplest way?

You can put in script to:

  1. Move the part you dont want out of the model
  2. Scale the group
  3. Put the part has moved inside of group again
