How do I make sure the weapon is facing forward?

I’m trying to make a weapon (mesh part) face forward but I have no clue how, the other posts mention selecting the front surface and using that but It’s not appearing as a property when I select any parts.

How do I get the front surface so I can modify it to change rotation since orientation doesn’t seem to affect it.

Tool grip editor is a must-have plugin for me, but if you don’t want to go that route there are tool properties under “Appearance” which would help, tweaking the values should get you what you want.
