Try adding more variety like dirt and mud, as well as adding some bumpiness to the terrain. It looking flat doesn’t help.
Also, if you want, turn on 3D grass via the terrain tab.

How would I create hills that are smooth and natural?
nvm i found a plugin to make hills
Just use the grow tool and smooth tool.

I think you could add some lighting as well just play around with the settings and maybe they would help as well!
A plugin to share that may save some time and improve terrain details significantly.
