How do I make this Roblox One Piece animation look better?

Hello, not sure if I am allowed to do this but I am trying to create an animation video about One Piece.

I was wondering how I would make this animation better? I feel like the animation is not that good but it does show what I am trying to show in it. It clearly shows the power of the Chop Chop fruit from One Piece.

A problem I had while making this animation is where I would put the camera. If I put the camera too far then we can’t really see what’s going on. The placing of the camera is important in an animation. Another problem that I had is the sound effects. Like what part need sound? If some parts are silent, than would it be bad? The back round in my animation is another problem. My back round is just a plain white back round, how would I make a better back round?

I hope my explanation is clear.

The chop user’s animation is rather bland. I would have them doing something like crouching down then like thrusting their arm forward to release the hand, then snapping it back once the hand comes back in.

I am not experienced with sound effects but I do know a thing two about animating.

[Background]

Now first about the background if you have experience working with video editing softwares I’d definitely make it neon green and then edit it later. But if that’s not the case, reading that it’s about One Piece you can have someone else or you build a place from the anime that have some sort of connection with the characters you are going to use. From then on it should be easier to work around camera angles with the newly placed objects helping the composition.

[Animation]

The concept is really good but your animation is rather stiff. Why is that? Your characters move like robots because of their perfect movement. Firstly I’d like to point out how the two characters just straight up never rotate their bodies in any way. That feels very unnatural and in my opinion might be your biggest problem. Now secondly when you run, the moment your RIGHT hand is forward, your LEFT leg will be forward. NOT your right leg. Keep in mind with out hand movements we keep balance it wouldn’t really make sense having all weight on one side of our bodies would it?

1 → 2
Here you can emphasize that BLUE barely got out of RED’s grasp by making him fall with his sword dropping while having RED pushed back from his HAND being pushed away by BLUE. ( Minor details like this matter a lot)

3 → 4
Make sure to make BLUE land not face flat but on his hands. You wouldn’t just fall and let your head be hit by the ground would you? What does BLUE want to do now? He wants to run away as far as possible. So he get’s up the fastest way possible which is by crawling up. He also takes his sword back at the same time.

RED’s RIGHT hand got pushed away earlier and it’s the hand that will be used to get BLUE. When you pull your hand forward your torso also follows your movement. You can show that by making some of his back visible from the current angle of your camera (Just like in the image above).
Have BLUE finally running.

You noted RED is very strong. We can make his hand go quicker by using less frames. For a dramatic effect you can put more frames right when he gets grabbed like he is in a slow motion with the sword falling off his hand and dropping to the ground. Lastly we can finish the animation off by using at most 1 frame between the moment BLUE is grabbed and 1 (without the sword in BLUE’s hand)

If you have any questions I’d love to help more!

I think I can picture what you mean. Like crouching down and aiming like a sniper or rocket? I can agree crouching down or doing something else is good but sometimes it’s hard to animate it, sometimes it just needs a lot of practice I guess.

I appreciate the well detailed response including the detailed drawing as well. I feel like I should invest more time into animating and be more patient while animating. Before making this post I was thinking about posting this on Youtube but now I should improve the animation first before I do that.

I still have problems with camera angles, adding weight to animation, and different poses is what I need to work on.
