I need to publish a map into a sub-place of a starter place for teleport service. However, when I press “publish to a place” on the file sub menu, it only allows to me to publish to starter places. Is there another button on how to to publish to non-starter places?
i dont understand what your trying to say cbmax but there isnt a subject called non starter place in roblox so if you want to teleport a player from one place to another place or move an object on touch to another place or do anything that changes an object’s/ player’s position from one point to another. then read you must this:
You’re able to create new places via the asset manager.
You are also able to create places via File → Publish to Roblox to
Then you should be prompted this menu where you’re able to create or publish to an existing place.
This allows me to create new starter places OR create new sub-place of a starter place (empty baseplate). I want to be able to publish a map from another game into a sub-place, not a starter place.
For example:
If you go into configure game, you’re able to add “places” that are sub-places of your main starter place/game. You can also do this through your game explorer by right clicking the “places.”
However, when you create a new place for the starter game, it often is an empty base plate (which you can edit). I was wondering if there is a way to import a pre-existing place file into this new empty base plate place?
Now, some of you may say that I can go to file → publish a place as…, but this only allows me to update starter games, not sub-places of starter games.
