How do I remove the random effect?

I found a random fire effect in the middle of my world. There aren’t any parts connected to it so I can’t select and delete it. Is there a way to delete it I don’t know of?

They’re likely located in the Terrain object in the Explorer window. You will have to delete them in the Explorer window.

They also likely came from a free model script that inserts Fire objects into assets as a kind of “virus.” I would use the search bar in the Explorer window to find any other Fire objects that might be hiding :slightly_smiling_face:

Ok thanks, I’ll take a look at it

I looked through all of the models I currently have in the place, including the ones I created. I deleted them and looked at the fire effect, but was still there. Is there another way to find what inflicted it?

Just search “Fire” in the explorer. It is likely hidden in a tree of parents.

Ok thanks, I’ll take a look at it

Still not finding it… I think I’m looking at the wrong thing, any ideas?

Make sure to check for back door scripts that any models may have, this could cause stuff like as you’ve shown in the screenshot. If it doesn’t work from there check if it’s an locked item and delete it from there.

Would it have a specific name I should search or is it going to be hidden?

Depends on how many models you would have, I would start with checking if it’s a locked item, if it’s not I would then start by looking throught the scripts in every model you have and make sure there isn’t any scripts that look suspicious

OK thanks, I’ll take a look at it!

This kind of fire is made with ParticleEmitters

That is not exactly “Fire” as object because I’ve seen this one before

it’s located in one of the attachments or inside one of the part that were included in

Found an anti virus that fixed it for me automatically. Works amazing. Would recommend installing the plugin GameGuard Anti Virus V2.5 [ALPHA] - Roblox
