I think the reason your terrain is forming hexagon shapes has to do with the fact that Roblox uses voxels to generate its terrain. If you have your brush size to one it’s going to give you some janky results because it will paint each voxel individually.
I replicated the issue in studio and changed the terrain colors to be more vibrant so you could spot it easier.
Terrain painting typically looks better at larger scales.
I suggest using meshes or parts to make your terrain if you don’t want to see the hexagons in the terrain as it is a part of the way Roblox makes it in the first place. Most popular games (e.g. Bloxburg, most simulators, etc.) use parts or meshes over terrain because terrain has a lot of bugs and inconsistencies that make it undesirable to use.
