this is on a 1440p monitor, you have to change the black screen to fill it udim2.new(1,0,1,0)
and when running i can see my own name bouncing up and down. also pressing wasd in the shop menu moves around and it looks weird
finally your thumbnail does reflect the game… except it doesnt look spooky. I also forgot to mention that when repairing the items in the house you need a tutorial, for the computer part i saw 3 boxes with 1 being red and i was confused on what to do for a second. The radio i easily figured out after a few seconds but mind you your audience is probably mostly young kids so.
try changing the font. to a style that sort of reflects your game. I feel like they are to many elements in the thumbnail and the color theory is just not there
for example look at the above. around 3 main elements not including background. The noob. The fish. And the hat. theres the fishing rot to but not many see it at first glance. either way you look at this and your like Hey! fish game. Its easy to look at and every bit of it looks pretty cool.
for your thumbnail ur missing the color theory. search up what it is. it really helps a lot. fish is emphasized by the glow and is one of the first things u look at. and it looks really cool! The hat and noob too… obviously something that can be progressed to. (maybe not the hat tho idk) either way it inspires a curoisity gap. like what is that fish. and even how does one get that rod or that hat. plus the noob is a familiar face everyone likes.
Before I start, I just want to take a moment to applaud you for creating a game entirely by yourself. It must be disheartening to see something you’ve put so much effort into not succeed, but please don’t lose hope! You’ve got this.
I really liked the concept; it’s creative and intriguing, so capturing attention shouldn’t be a problem. However, I found it difficult to keep playing after night 2. There was just too much happening right from the beginning! The computer breaks down, and you have to fix it… but wait, you also need to fix the generator (as if that wasn’t enough). And then the radio malfunctions, and that needs fixing too. Night one finishes and I’m like “Wow that is overwhelming”.
What I’m trying to say is that, as a new player, I felt overwhelmed by everything occurring at once. Perhaps for the first three nights, you could allow players to explore and learn the game mechanics before introducing so many challenges at once.
Additionally, the scene with the cat at the start of the night could use some improvement. The repetitive sound effects (dingdingding every time a letter is typed) are quite distracting. It might be helpful to let players skip that scene by pressing Z or clicking.
These are just my thoughts. I wouldn’t give up on the game at all. Keep building, improving, and updating it. With nearly 100k visits, that shows you have something special on your hands!
I recommend at least one update per week for the best results in a Roblox game to get people to play. Remove any emojis or things that are anything other than the game name itself from the name. Make the icon have just the game name/logo and whatever it’s about. Advertise on social media too, it’s a good way to get noticed.
Using tools such as Roblox Ads and Sponsorships will help your game find its audience.
Bland game.
The most popular games you see on the platform have a clear objective. Remember, when you release a game, everyone who plays will be new. You’ll have to ensure that the objectives of the game are easy to understand, otherwise people will just leave.
Bad UI
Your in-game UI (or any icons/thumbnails) must appeal to its userbase. It’s simple. Bad UI = Bad Game Performance
Try to do testing with a few friends to see what you could improve on. Feedback on early stages is crucial to ensure that the game is appealing for newcomers.
