I program in Lua-U and have some experience with Blender. With that knowledge, I created a game called Take Care. It’s on a group I made. But at the beginning I found an investor, and he bought some ad’s, and I expected nothing to happen. But somehow, out of nowhere, the game got 95k+ visits, and at one point it stopped and completely died. At the time, the game had bugs; now I fixed most of them and added a walkthrough. It took me 7 months to make it. I put all my energy into it. If someone could help me, that would be great. I Updated the game and added new features. for example, this Door System
and maybe test the game and tell me if it’s too hard or not. and maybe give feedback
Advertising sucks unless you spend loads and have a good CTR icon. I would recommend making YouTube / tiktok videos on the game or paying a YouTuber to post a video on the game
I played until night 2, i think the map and sound designs are great but i don’t think the tasks are fun. The only thing i did in the game was run around, fix the pipe, fix the computer, fix the radio, refuel generator, watch tv. Doing these tasks over and over again for 20 minutes is not really fun
your icon wouldnt make me wanna click it either. and i as an average joe would assume this is just another low quality broken game. try fixing ur icon by like a LOT. and when peole join the game make them hooked. dont know how? search it up on youtube the videos there are crazy helpful.
Quickest way to revive any dead game: a famous YouTuber. Also some quick feedback, upon joining your game I could already tell it’s a high quality horror, personally loved it.
Edit: would like you to note that night two is insanely hard. Also note that, for “…” you should make a pause between each dot so it is more suspenseful.
I’m not saying it is. What I am saying is that with your game icon it gives off a bad message. For example YouTubers put in a lot of work in to there thumbnails because it’s there’s put against others. If your video is the best video ever and your thumbnail looks like a 12 year old girl with to much iPad time. Barely anyone will click on that.
Some tips for ur game icon
invoke curiosity (curiosity gap)
make it look good
have the colors matching by color theory
have a familiar figure (that’s why people use ice spice or those blue and yellow noobs)
make it look fun (game title matters too)
search more online but those r what I could name
Gameplay
I actually played your game
it wasn’t fun
and if I even clicked on it game I wouldn’t have played long
quality is just not there
there were a few game breaking bugs
And the loading screen was annoying (I mean the first time is ok but every time u join us just idk)
game play wasn’t fun at all
I was mostly clueless
and in general the game wasn’t fun
You have a solid game idea but terrible execution. I’m sure u learned a lot but I suggest strongly to start from ground zero with game design. And a ton of non bias play testing. Maybe from friends. Because I’m sure ur capable of much more.
One more thing. Your hard work owes u absolutely nothing. Nobody really cares if u put 7 months of work into it. Work hard. But working smart is very important. U can try to clean ur floor with 10 toothbrushes. But instead of u using one by one. Try getting some water and tapeing the brushes together. Either way bad example but get my point. Work smarter. U did only half of it. (Still impressive because 90% don’t even make it far)
Before I played the game I thought it was going to be a hospital type thing where you care for patients using a computer or something. Then I joined and I realized that it was more of a survival horror type game, so your thumbnails should reflect that.
