How do I rig meshes that have no bones?

I tried to rig Heatblast lately, but the head texture is messed up and I can’t find a way to make him have bones.

Here is a example and the rig has a failure while it’s FBX, the rig failed to be working. Any help here?
Edit: The rig is boneless too.

Typically if a rig isn’t showing up in an animation editor then it’s missing Motor6D’s and judging from the current state of your Heatblast model, it doesn’t have a rig at all. You can solve this by installing a newer rig plugin and re-rigging the model from scratch with said plugin. If you rigged it from inside of Blender then you’ll simply have to go back to blender, re-do the bones and parent your mesh to the armature. To parent the mesh you can just shift click the rig and the armature inside Object Mode, then right click somewhere, go down to “Parent” and select under Armature Deform, “With Automatic Weights”.
