How do I solve this weird sharp part on my mesh?

So I am making a few hats for a Client, and I have this weird sharp part on my mesh:

I have tried beveling it but it doesn’t work, it doesn’t even show up.
It isn’t a texture issue.
It isn’t a merging issue.
and also I used the cloth brush in sculpting mode and then this problem showed up.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

That looks like a texture problem. Is it not a texture problem?

Not at all. it is just a mesh.

Open the UV editor and make sure those vertices connect with the other side of the mesh. You can also try cylindrical unwrapping in the UV editor.

Since this is a mesh issue, based off info and what I personally know, this might work: Hold “alt” and click a vert in that line that you’ve circled in red, that should select everything in that “line”. You can then resize things to be on the same x,y, or z axis to make it not as jagged.

You could also manually move each vert, but that would take a lot more time.

Edit: there’s many ways to solve this issue. You could also delete the verts (black circle things) you don’t like, then highlight the surrounding area and fill it in with the F key. C is the selection tool I believe.

The problem with the sharp shading is this part, I don’t know how but it apparently changes some of the shading.
