How can I view what member type I am of the forum (new member, member, full member etc)?

How to check it out :
On your profile just press the “Expand button” on the right of where your name would appear

DevForum centered questions like this belong in the #inception-forum. For New Members, DM the top_contributor group, and one of them will get back to you.
DevForum itself runs an open source forum solution called Discourse. It has extensive API documentation if you ever want to get into that too.
