So I’m working on a secret project which involves currency. (WHA?)
I made these two meters to display how much of each you have.
The red tokens are the basic currency which can be purchased, while the blue tokens are “premium” currency like gems in a mobile game. You can get one every day.
How do they look? Any feedback?
The text is too close with the box on top of it.
You should be careful of how you use the Roblox logo. The way it’s used here seems fine, but it’s worth taking a look at the rules for the future.
There are no rules, these are guidelines. You can do whatever you want with it.
That being said, using the logo for currency makes no sense. Is it a placeholder?
I hope this will help you with your project.
Token Gui Suggestions
- Make the border around the white image where the number is displayed brighter to match the border around the coin logo.
- Maybe add a little
+
sign button colored the same to free up space. - Make the
TextSize
fill more of the image.
Special Token Gui Suggestions
- Same with the
Tokens Gui
brighten the border on the gui to match the logo. - Instead of having the timers text
Blue Border & Black Text
useBlue Text & Blue Text
- Scale the text that represents the
Special Coins
value. - Scale the text above the special coins gui.
Suggestions For Both Guis
- Maybe consider changing the icons for the
Tokens & Special Tokens
icons.
Good luck with your project.
The tokens are literally this:
I could cook up a new design, but the setting of the project being an arcade of sorts makes me want to stick with this.
Putting the Roblox logo on them doesn’t really imply they’re tokens. It would take like 10 seconds to change them to something like “$” which gets the message across better.
I would tend to agree with @Intended_Pun. Using the roblox logo is a bit confusing. Otherwise your UI seems nice
Maybe change the color to gold or something to make them look more obvious as tokens.
So I decided to follow some of your tips:
It looks a lot better, but due to the aesthetic of the project, (which I will obviously not completely divulge) I won’t change the appearance of the tokens unless I literally need to.
I have some suggestions such us:
- Give them some space between token and special token.
- Put the token and special token text on top left of the box.
- Put the timeline on bottom left of the box or next to the box .
- The size of icon’s strokes and box’s strokes should be the same.
So far it’s really good, good luck on it!
-
The “Tokens” title is larger than the “Special Tokens” title. If “Special Tokens” cannot fit to be the same size as “Tokens”, shrink the “Tokens” title.
-
The font looks very “nostalgic” (I can’t find the word, maybe corny?), I recommend replacing it with a more… anti-aliasing font.
-
The outline on the “Tokens” title is black, although the outline on the “Buy Tokens” title as well as the box it is in has a white outline. I recommend making “Buy Tokens” and the box it is in have a black outline, as all the other texts have black outlines.
-
I don’t see why “Tokens” has an image of the Roblox logo, and the “Special Tokens” has an image of the Roblox Studio logo.
I know that
So that makes up for the corny font and the Roblox logos, but the Roblox logos definitely look modern. Maybe replace the “Tokens” logo with a retro or old Roblox logo; the same for “Special Tokens”.
Everything is fine! One small thing is maybe trying to put the ‘Next one in’ and the timer in a box like the ‘Buy tokens’ text.
