There is really only one way to get better, practice. If you want to get better at anything all it takes it some quality time spent learning how to do that thing better.
For some help on what to improve about your current UI, I would say making it match a bit better. Use less harsh colors and try to keep a more palette based color scheme. A great way to find matching colors is https://coolors.co/
