How do would I properly weld the hat's to the npc's head?

I am making a walking animation for a R6 npc, but I noticed the hats don’t move along with the head. I searched on the devforum and found out I have to weld them together. I inserted a weld into their head and set Part0 to the hat’s handle, and Part1 to the head. But after that, the hat went to their neck like that: print and when I try to rotate/move the head, the torso moves instead, and when I try to rotate/move the torso, it just doesn’t move. Any help is appreciated.

Poor you no one has answered you, i do have a answer that could work or not, it is either that the handle or hat is anchored and that you have weld constraints turned on which makes a part hugging another one instantly weld to each other creating that weird unnecessary anchor, hopefully this solves your issue.

Also in my opinion or recommendations, i suggest you use this plugin i mentally like since all you have to do is pick the first object then anything like 20 parts or 10, and after that don’t unselect and click the weld plugin icon and it’ll weld easily, make sure you don’t move a part and break the weld of it otherwise you’d have to weld again, but again this is just my opinion or a recommendation so you don’t have to install it:

Edit: In other cases, you should turn off the anchor in every parts and descendants in the animation model otherwise some might has just been anchored, doesn’t matter if you anchor or unachor the rootpart.

Thanks, this was 2 months ago and I actually learned a lot about rigging in this meantime, I currently use moon animator’s EasyWeld and it allows to weld in place so it doesn’t do that anymore. But I appreciate your answer, and I’ll look into that plugin!
