How do you add color to text?

I have seen a post that had certain text in blue/green/red color. My question is, how did they achieve that? The color put a nice emphasis on important text that I’d like to use too from time to time.

You can use:

[color="red"]A name of a color[/color]
[color=#123456]or a hex value[/color]

Note that it will not format in the preview window and that some colors may be hard to read with some themes!
