How do you get a backround blur?

The background in this is very nice, this is actually in the LNX Concert game, but how do they do this?

It’s really easy.
Go into lighting, right click, click “add objects” and search for “blur effect”, and you can customize the blur intensity.
Another way is the skybox.

Btw this doesn’t belong in this category.

There is other settings that do it similarly, like haze/glare, atmosphere, fog, etc.

Try searching the developer.roblox.com page first.
Atmosphere | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub
Check the Haze settings out.

But that’s the enitre screen:

Turn it all the way down.
They also could use a skybox, haze, glare, atmosphere, fog and fogend.

No difference, I think there probably will be an new update about that.

This is possible by the ‘Atmosphere’ lighting in studio. Simply go to ‘Lighting’ in Studio & Insert an Atmosphere. When you have it set, mess around with it & it’ll blue our the background!

There are many different ways of doing this, and it’s probably a combination of some of them. You could:

  • Use a very small BlurEffect
  • Use an Atmoshpere
  • Use FogEnd and FogStart
  • Use DepthOfFieldEffect
The simplest and best looking would be DepthOfFieldEffect. Keep in mind that it only renders on graphics settings 8. Below is a quick example of the properties for said effect.

I meant, for example, the sand reflects light, and it creates a blur.
