How do you get spaces in Display Names?

Hi, I’m King, and I’m trying to figure out how I can have spaces in my display name.

Below is shown a picture of someone with a space in their display name.

Here’s their profile

As you can see on their profile, and in the screenshot, their display name is “Jack Hanma”, and has a space in it.

When I try to go to set a display name with spaces in it, it says “An unknown error occured”, or “Displayname contains unsupported characters”

Meanwhile the person clearly has a space in their display name.

It’s not just 1 singular person with spaces in displaynames, I’ve seen multiple.

I have seen it tons of times, but only have a picture of one.

If anybody knows how I can do this, please do let me know, thank you.

I know you need to be 18+, it’s one of the requirements. Spaces were introduced to allow adults to use their real names on the platform, if they wish to do so.

Oh, I guess that makes sense, but oddly enough those dumb roleplay games like Washiez, Frappe, Pastriez (super strict for no reason ngl), Koala Cafe (stricter than pastriez for no reason lmao) which are primarily played by kids, I’ve seen admins who are usually <18 have spaces in their display names and I know they probably didn’t get their parents to ID verify the account.

Two cases could be true about those people:

  • When a parent helped their child to create a Roblox account, the parent decided to use their own birthdate for the account.

  • The child lied about their age upon account creation.

I don’t believe this feature is exclusive to adults who have ID verified their accounts, just simply an age that is 18+ (there may be a few other requirements, I don’t recall all of them exactly).

Alright, I’ll check one of my alts I use for trolling and see if one of them just so happened to be >18 (cuz I just create a random age for them), and see if I can use spaces.

You need to be in the united states and its only available for limited accounts

I don’t think theres a age requirement

I’m in Canada and it’s available to me. You indeed have to be 18+, based on a previous announcement post.

Like i said only to limited accounts its the same like the japanese display names where certain accounts dont have access but new accounts do

That’s atleast how i understand it

Could be because roblox is rolling it out to new locations slowly
