I am working on an obby game that contains difficult obstacles such as conveyor parts.
My question is, how do you properly make one?

A simple way to make a conveyor belt is to anchor a part and set the Velocity property. That will make any unanchored part sitting on it move in the speed and direction you specify with that property

Does that mean a humanoid will be affected by the movement of the conveyor as well?

yes all parts including those connected to a humanoid will be affected

Set the Velocity property to an anchored part, and it will make any humanoid move along with it.
