Is there a way to use colors other than the few they give for roblox rope constaints on them or make them glow?

You can pick any color for ropes, and I don’t think they can glow.
Rope constraints are quite limited in their rendering. I would suggest using parts or a beam instance. Parts would allow you to apply materials and transparency to the piece, there are a few rope creator plugins which can create it for you. However, parts would not work well for a physical simulation. You could still add ball-in-socket constraints between shorter segments to form one long rope though.
The beam is another option. It doesn’t have any physics too it, but you can apply a texture to it and you can also give it an almost neon effect. If you want physics, you could experiment with an invisible rope combined with a beam.
